These Terms and Conditions, including all Addendums, are effective as of 2.5.26. All new registrations on or after this date are subject to these Terms.

1. SCHOLARSHIPS & PLAYING TIME

Rocktop Academy does not guarantee any athlete a scholarship, financial aid, or recruiting outcome. What we offer is playing time (at the coaching staff’s discretion) and the opportunity to compete in front of college coaches from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior College levels. Player performance and recruitment results are solely the responsibility of the athlete. No player is guaranteed playing time in every game or event.

2. CONDUCT POLICY

Players are expected to conduct themselves respectfully with coaches, staff, mentors, teammates, housing supervisors, and spectators. Rocktop Academy reserves the right to issue disciplinary action—including dismissal—for behavior deemed disruptive or harmful. If a player is dismissed for conduct reasons, completed payments are non-refundable, and any outstanding tuition remains due.

3. TUITION & PAYMENT TERMS

To secure enrollment, a deposit must be made. After five (5) business days, this deposit becomes non-refundable. Tuition payments begin on August 1st, unless otherwise agreed upon. Monthly payments are due on the 1st of each month, with a 10% late fee applied after a 5-day grace period. If a payment is more than 30 days overdue, Rocktop Academy reserves the right to remove the player from the program. All outstanding balances must still be paid in full.

4. REFUND POLICY

All tuition payments are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in writing. If a player voluntarily leaves the program, quits, or is dismissed for disciplinary or academic reasons, no refund will be issued. Any unpaid balance remains due.

There are no refunds for AAU, training sessions, or any committed weekly programs within the Spring-Summer Program. These offerings are billed and staffed in advance and are non-refundable regardless of attendance.

5. ACADEMIC DISCLAIMER

Rocktop Academy is not a school or academic institution. We are a basketball program only. Academic services are provided through outside partners or the family’s chosen educational institution.

Rocktop Academy is not responsible for a player’s academic standing, financial aid eligibility (FAFSA, Pell Grants, etc.), or compliance with NCAA or institutional regulations. Players are solely responsible for maintaining eligibility, handling their own academic enrollment, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, or school policies.

We do not provide transportation to or from any academic institution, nor do we adjust basketball or program schedules around school, class, or academic-related conflicts.

Families agree not to take legal action or publicly misrepresent Rocktop Academy regarding any school-related matters.

6. HOUSING POLICY

Housing is a shared living environment and must be treated with respect. A $500 Move-In Fee applies to all athletes.

House Rules:

  • No loud noise after 9:00 PM

  • Keep shared spaces clean

  • Respect your roommates and property

  • No fighting or physical altercations

  • Treat furniture and fixtures responsibly

  • Ensure any guests follow house rules

Any damage caused by an athlete will be the financial responsibility of that athlete.

7. FOOD POLICY

Athletes are responsible for their own meals. Rocktop Academy provides basic non-perishable pantry items (“house food”) such as:

  • Pasta & Sauce

  • Bread & Eggs

  • Cereal

  • Pancake/Waffle Mix

  • Basic vegetables, seasonings, and cooking essentials

Note: Meats, snacks, drinks, and perishable items are not included. Deep frying or using large quantities of oil is not allowed. Rocktop Academy does not provide food during travel or events unless explicitly stated.

8. HOTEL POLICY

Athletes are expected to represent Rocktop Academy with professionalism while traveling. Inappropriate behavior in hotels—including loud noise, destruction of property, drug/alcohol use, or misconduct—is grounds for disciplinary action. Rocktop athletes must maintain a high standard of conduct to protect our reputation with lodging partners.

9. INJURY, MEDICAL RESPONSIBILITY & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Participation in Rocktop Academy is at the athlete’s own risk. Rocktop Academy is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, or medical emergencies. Families are responsible for medical expenses and for arranging transportation to and from urgent care or hospital visits. Athletes must have active health insurance and disclose any pre-existing medical conditions before participation.

By enrolling, athletes and their families acknowledge and accept that Rocktop Academy involves physical training, competition, and coaching that can be mentally and physically demanding. Players agree to be coached, held to team standards, and physically challenged through rigorous practices, workouts, and competition. Rocktop Academy is not liable for any short-term or long-term mental, emotional, or physical effects caused by participation in these activities.

10. MEDIA RELEASE

By enrolling, the athlete and their family grant permission for Rocktop Academy to use photographs, videos, and game film for promotional, marketing, and advertising purposes. This includes but is not limited to use on websites, social media, and printed materials. No compensation will be provided for media use.

Marketing materials, website content, and promotional language are intended to reflect the general nature of the Rocktop Academy experience but may be subject to change. Rocktop Academy reserves the right to modify programs, housing locations, schedules, staff, or services at any time without prior notice. These changes do not constitute grounds for refund or legal claims.

Participants acknowledge that marketing materials and program details may be updated, changed, or adjusted at any time without prior notification.

11. PRIVACY POLICY

Rocktop Academy respects your privacy and handles personal information responsibly. Any personal data collected through applications or communication will be used solely for program administration and communication purposes. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as necessary to provide services. For more information, please see our full Privacy Policy [insert link here].

12. EMERGENCY CONTACT & MEDICAL INFORMATION

All athletes must provide up-to-date emergency contact information and disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation. It is the responsibility of the athlete and family to keep this information current.

13. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Rocktop Academy recommends that all athletes and families obtain appropriate travel insurance for any trips or events, as the academy does not provide coverage for travel-related incidents or cancellations.

14. FORCE MAJEURE

Rocktop Academy shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or facility closures.

15. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Rocktop Academy is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Athletes are advised to secure their belongings and insure valuables as needed.

16. COMMUNICATION EXPECTATIONS

Athletes and families agree to maintain timely and respectful communication with Rocktop Academy staff. This includes responding promptly to messages, attending scheduled meetings or calls, and notifying staff of any issues or changes in availability.

17. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to participation in Rocktop Academy programs or these Terms and Conditions, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith mediation. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association or a similar agreed-upon arbitration body. The arbitration shall take place in Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania law shall govern all matters relating to the arbitration and these Terms.

Both parties waive their right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action lawsuit regarding any disputes related to Rocktop Academy.

18. WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Participation in Rocktop Academy involves inherent risk. By enrolling, the athlete and their parent(s)/guardian(s) agree to hold harmless Rocktop Academy, its staff, affiliates, and facility partners from any claims related to injury, property damage, or financial loss incurred through participation in program activities.

19. AGREEMENT & ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By enrolling, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all Rocktop Academy policies, terms, and conditions listed above. If under 18, a parent or legal guardian must also consent. These terms remain enforceable even if any portion is later found to be invalid or unenforceable by law.
