After taking down two top 25 prep teams in Arizona in front of arguably the top scout on the west coast, Jerry Mullen, people are starting to take notice. Mullen has informed Rocktop Coach Rines that he has added six players as DI players to his scouting report, AJ Burnett (PF – 6’8″), Bernie Blunt (PG – 6’1″),  Torrin Andrews (PG – 6’3″), Rodney Sawyer (SF – 6’6″), Rasheed Cooley (PG – 6’2″), and Marcellus Taliaferro (PF – 6’8″).

Coach Rines stated, “It’s great for the kids. This is why we travel to play teams so that our kids get different views from different scouts. Before coming out here [to Arizona], we stressed the importance of playing in front of Mullens. He can make or break you. Personally, I believe our high school players should have also been added to the report but they still need more experience playing at this level. We will come back and I believe a few more DI players will be added to his list.”

The six Rocktop players is the most DI prospects the program has ever had this early in the season. All eyes on these players as we are unsure how much longer this team will be considered underrated.
