“He had a great game, against great competition, with the right people watching,” Director, Sam Rines, said about Bernie Blunt after he scored 50 points against #1 postgrad prep school IMG Academy. But this is not the first time the point guard displayed a scoring clinic on his opponents, just a week before Blunt scored 40 points against top JUCO Harcum College.

“When healthy, we’re the best three guards in prep school [referring to Torrin Andrews, 6’3″ point guard from Florida (hurt groin), and Rasheed Cooley, 6’2″ point guard from Maryland (broken ribs)] With them out, and the bigs are holding their own against four and five star prospects, the team needs me to be more of a scoring point guard… We’re undermanned at the guard spot right now, I have to step up. We have to turn these into wins.” Blunt said.

Bernie Blunt has been dominating top guards since the beginning of season. Now coaches are beginning to take notice. Over the past week Blunt has heard from more than 30 schools, including 12 schools from power 5 conferences, and two blue chip schools. “I just want to find the right fit,” Blunt says. “I’ll look at the game tape, see where I fit in, and make the best decision for me and my family.”
