Postgrad Program

Rocktop Academy’s Postgraduate Program offers a structured gap year for high school graduates looking to develop their game, mature both on and off the court, and gain increased exposure to college programs. Athletes have the option to take college courses, giving them a head start academically without using a year of NCAA athletic eligibility.

With a national schedule of 55+ games and appearances at some of the top exposure events in the country, players face elite competition and gain valuable visibility with college coaches. This extra year is ideal for athletes who need more time to grow, improve their recruitment, and position themselves for scholarship opportunities.

Get Older, Get Recruited
College programs are recruiting older, more physically developed players. A PG year gives athletes that added maturity and strength to stand out.
More Playing Time, More Exposure
Players who are buried on depth charts in high school often use a PG year to get on the court, build film, and gain exposure in high-level settings.
Avoid the JUCO Track
Junior college can be a tough path academically and competitively. A PG year offers structure and support — without starting your NCAA eligibility clock.

Fall Short-Term Postgrad Program

(September–December)

A condensed fall-season experience for athletes seeking early development, competitive play, and exposure opportunities before winter. This program is ideal for players planning to transfer mid-year, take a semester off before enrolling in college, or sharpen their game without committing to a full-year program. It includes training, strength & conditioning, and fall showcase events to build film and momentum heading into the recruiting season.

Mid-Year Postgrad Program

(January–March)

A focused three-month program designed for athletes looking to finish the season strong and stay active in the recruiting process. Players compete in the second half of the schedule—including some of the nation’s top postgrad events—while continuing to train, improve, and gain valuable exposure to college coaches.

This program is especially well-suited for international athletes, as it does not require class enrollment and aligns with common visa options like the B-2 Visitor Visa or the ESTA Visa Waiver Program (90 days). Whether you’re waiting on a college offer or staying sharp after finishing high school, this spring session keeps you competitive, compliant, and ready for what’s next.
